The Commission adopted the Annex I delegated act on 13 July; the objection window closes on 13 September. We read the annex and the memorandum: 25 product codes assessed, six changed, and the additions get a one-year deferral the deletions do not. Palm-derived glycerol and fatty acids enter the list too.
FDA proposed extending the Food Traceability Rule by 30 months in August 2025. Thirteen months later, RIN 0910-ZC21 still has exactly one document in the Federal Register — the proposal. The 20 January 2026 compliance date passed 229 days ago. What sits between it and enforcement is a line in an appropriations act.

Schedule 17 of the Environment Act 2021 created a forest-risk-commodity due diligence regime five years ago. The regulations that would commence it still have not been made. The EUDR clock runs anyway, and the two regimes are not the same rule.

Yantai Shuangta faces a 122.19% US dumping margin and a 67.4% EU provisional duty, and pays no Canadian anti-dumping duty at all — Canada terminated that case. The US and Canada exclude texturized pea protein from scope; the EU deliberately does not, and told the exporters the other two rulings were irrelevant.
Sugar is the one input in this industry with a published market price. Run it through GFI's own case-study assumptions and feedstock comes out at roughly a fifth of unit cost, not half — because at 0.13 grams of protein per gram of glucose, you are buying 7.7kg of sugar per kilogram of product.
Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 moved the deadline to 30 December 2026. The April review operators were waiting on arrived on 4 May 2026 as guidance, not legislation — and the Commission has now said three times it will not reopen the text.
FSMA 204, the FDA's flagship food-traceability rule, names shell eggs, soft cheese and seafood as high-risk — not cultivated meat or precision-fermented protein. Both are traced through a separate, older USDA-FDA framework built for conventional meat, with different obligations and a different enforcement rhythm.
